Five Weeks Down

Well, the first five weeks of school are over... not necessarily the busiest weeks of the year... but sometimes it feels that way, given the Slap In The Face factor that is starting school after a restful summer.
The last five weeks, by the numbers:
I've collected nearly 800 signed forms of various descriptions, learned at least 100 new names, had two large social events, auditioned and cast a musical, auditioned and formed two pop choirs, had three weeks of rehearsal with the musical kids and three rehearsals thus far with the pop choirs.  I've had four rehearsals with the kids choir at church and one performance.  I've burned at least 130 CDs, mostly for our Region directors.  I've held one directors meeting, had four showings of my home, had one open house at school, attended one football game, one funeral, and one happy hour.  I've made one kid cry, had two threaten to throw up in my room, and had countless girls tell me they have to go to the bathroom and that I know what they mean.  I've taught three money management classes, about twenty songs to six choirs, and about 75 school choir classes.  In the next five weeks, I have two performances of the musical, two pep rallies, two concerts, one fundraiser, one week-long visit from my parents, two weddings, two bridal showers, a solo at church, a choir camp, a fake "day off", another five money management classes, five kids choir rehearsals, 75 choir classes and a new student teacher.

Today I have lazy time, followed by an optometrist appointment, more lazy time, and a church choir party.  Possibly the Best Day Ever.
